The cartridge determines the intended use
The Alb water filter housings have a modular design. This means that you only have to buy the filter housing once and then simply replace the cartridge inside as required. On this page you will find our Alb filter cartridges sorted by application. Some cartridges can be used in different areas.

The Alb drinking water filter cartridges are used wherever drinking water is to be treated for consumption. In addition to the filtration of harmful substances, the nano cartridge also provides a bacteria filter. Our cartridges for drinking water treatment are used both in the home kitchen and in mobile areas such as campers, caravans or boats.

The Active drinking water cartridge is used both in the kitchen at home and on the road in motorhomes and caravans. It reliably filters out harmful substances and improves the taste and appearance of the water.

Active Plus+
The Active Plus+ drinking water cartridge is mainly used at home as a Under-sink or tap filter. It filters odors, heavy metals, microplastics, pharmaceutical residues, bacteria and germs down to 0.7 µm and softens the water at the same time.

The Nano cartridge reliably filters bacteria and germs (99.99%) such as E. coli and legionella with a 0.1 µm hollow fiber membrane. It reduces turbidity and indicates slowed water flow when exhausted. Certified according to ASTM F838-15A.

Cartridges for the shower
Wellness and certified protection against legionella
With our shower filter cartridges, we differentiate between wellness filters and bacterial filtration. The Balance cartridge reduces various pollutants with the help of activated carbon and KDF. It also supplies skin and hair with minerals and ensures pH stabilization. The primary rock shungite reduces bacteria and microbes and is said to have a positive effect on the skin's ageing process. The nano cartridge offers reliable protection against acute legionella infestation.

Quality assurance by independent scientists
Independent scientists at the Heidelberg Institute [...] regularly test and monitor our cartridges for compliance with the guideline values. State-of-the-art analysis methods enable them to analyze various pollutants for their limit values and to certify our cartridges accordingly.

Every water filter needs new cartridges at certain intervals. A bioplastic (and not petroleum!) is used for the caps of the Active and Active Plus cartridges.
