Pollutant, germ and limescale filter for the tap
The Duo Active Plus two-way tap filter only delivers the best drinking water when you really need it. This conserves the capacity of the cartridge and therefore also the environment and your wallet. The Active Plus drinking water cartridge ensures a delicious taste and reduces over 80 harmful substances in Tapwater. Thanks to its low porosity of just 0.7 µm, it is able to filter many harmful germs and bacteria out of the water. The integrated water softener ensures less visible limescale on surfaces such as taps or kettles. (limescale reduction approx. 2-4° dH)
The Duo is available in stainless steel, matt or black and transforms any kitchen tap into a real eye-catcher. The filter housing fits all standard taps with an M22 thread. With the enclosed M24 adapter, the Alb Filter Duo is ready to use in many cases. If a different adapter is required, we will be happy to include it. Ideally, you should determine the thread size of your tap before ordering - you can find instructions in our thread guide.

Filtered or unfiltered?
Thanks to the integrated switch lever, you can quickly and easily switch between filtered and unfiltered water. This protects the filter cartridge and ensures that the full line pressure is maintained when rinsing or filling the watering can.
Fits with or without adapter
Thanks to numerous adapters, the Duo also fits taps with thread sizes that do not correspond to the standard Duo thread of M22.
Select the correct adapter directly when ordering (free of charge).

What is filtered?
Heavy metals such as lead and copper
The adsorbing effect of BIOTON binds heavy metals such as lead and copper in drinking water.
Microplastics and other fine particles
Thanks to the ultra-fine structure of the filter medium, microscopic particles and plastic particles down to 0.7 µm are reliably filtered out.
Chlorine and other taste impairments
BIOTON binds unpleasant odors (chlorine, CHCs, CFCs, etc.) and impairs the taste of drinking water.
Pesticides and drug residues
Organic compounds such as pesticide residues, herbicides, insecticides, drug residues, hormones and hormone-like substances are reduced.
Bacteria and germs

Binds odors and pollutants
The strong surface forces (adhesion) of the BIOTON filter the water from unwanted turbidity and odors such as chlorine as well as organic compounds and pollutants. These include drug residues, hormones, pesticides/pesticides, perfluorinated and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS), etc.
Filters microplastics, bacteria and germs down to 0.7µm
Bioton has a pore size of just 0.7 µm (0.007 mm). This means that even very fine particles are effectively retained by the increasingly constricting structure. The Active Plus cartridge thus offers protection against sand, rust, microplastics as well as germs and bacteria.
Limescale reduction through ion exchange (softening effect)
In water treatment, the chemical process of "ion exchange" is used to achieve softening (limescale reduction) of the water. Unwanted salts are removed from the water with the help of cation and anion exchangers. For example, one calcium molecule is replaced by two sodium molecules.

Installation
- Unscrew the aerator of the tap.
- If necessary, install an adapter on the tap thread.
- Then screw the Duo water filter hand-tight to the tap thread or the previously installed adapter using the union nut.
- Open the lower cover of the filter housing and press the enclosed cartridge into the cover with a slight twisting motion. Then screw the cover back onto the filter body and tighten it hand-tight.
